Case

The case bears the hallmark of James Fox, London 1884.

With silver chain handle, solid rear door and bun feet.

With original tooled green leather traveling case.

 

 

 

 

Dial

Silver engine turned

The silver engine turned dial has an aperture in the arch to view a rolling moon. The Roman and Arabic painted chapters have a lever at 10 o’clock for fast/slow regulation.The hands are of blued steel with heart shaped tips and the centre sweep seconds hand is gold.

 

Movement

The twin train fuse movement has a 3 arm steel balance with lever escapement mounted on the front plate. All the striking work is mounted on the backplate which is signed by the maker Haley London.

There is a pull repeat and slow/fast regulation for the hours and quarters.
