Daniel Quare a clockmaker held in very high esteem in the late 17th and early 18th who made fine clocks for wealthy clients around the world. Importantly for the crown and various Royal households. A Quaker who stood firmly with his religeious beliefs, with a great sence of business as can be seen by his investments in America and a founding father of a banking empire. Thomas Tompion sometimes made movements for Daniel Quare. More importantly perhaps is that Quare made several movements for Thomas Tompion which must have shown the high regard in which he was held.
