Case

The superb English satin gilded gothic revival case with thick bevel edged glass to the top, sides and back door with slimmer bevel edged glass to the front.

Dial

The vitreous enamel dial features Roman numerals Breguet moon hands, while the alarm dial uses Arabic numerals.

The two fired dials fitted behind a finely chased engraved gilt brass dial mask.

Signed below XII  “Chas Frodsham Clockmaker to the Queen”.

Movement

The key wound twin barrel spring driven movement with complications for Grande Sonnerie, Petite Sonnerie, Strike Silent, Repeating with alarm.

Superb example with jewelled lever platform escapement.

Wound via a rotating gilt shutter to the rear with holes drilled to the thick bevel glass for winding and setting the gilt shutter protects the movement from dust and the client.

With removable back door via Frodsham’s squared screw entrance system.
