A small and fine ebonised fruitwood veneered table clock with inverted bell top surmounted by a cast gilt brass handle having cast and chased vase finials to the 4 corners, shallow break arch to the glazed front door with pierced sound frets above with single chased gilt brass escutcheon, glazed sides with pierced sound frets above with glazed back door, standing on 4 gilt compressed bun feet.

Dial

The 4inch x 6inch shallow gilt break arch dial with matted centre, applied silvered engraved chaptering showing Roman hour divisions with Arabic 5 minute divisions, mock pendulum below XII with 3 silvered engraved subsidiary dials above for rise and fall regulation, date, moon phase and alarm complimented by a pair of finely pierced blued steel hands. the corners with applied chased gilt brass spandrels with floral engraving between.

Movement

The three train triple fusee quarter striking movement with pull quarter repeat, alarm and verge escapement the profusely engraved floral backplate with engraved case brackets united by turned brass baluster pillars with single exposed setup click and pawl, pivoted verge with rise and fall regulation to the lenticular brass faced pendulum.

The hours sounded upon a single bell with a further 6 bells for the quarters being governed by a rack and snail. The alarm hammer using the hour bell to the inside.
