The shallow break-arch top has a delicate floral inlay below, with both the front and back corners being canted and brass inlaid. The glazed front door and side panels have a brass mould to the inner aspect and the case rests on brass ball feet. The back door has a silk backed brass fret.

Roman numerals sit on an engraved silver dial signed in the arch ‘Thwaites & Reed, London”.

Key wound timepiece with a single train fusee movement and a pull-quarter repeat.
