Having gilt carrying handles to the sides, with matched pierced and engraved silk lined sound frets, the caddy top surmounted by 5 chased gilt finials.

3.75inch convex fired vitreous enamel dial with Roman numerals signed below XII Tupman London.

Movement

Two train twin fusee movement with chain drive having lever escapement, sounding the hours and quarter hours upon 2 bells via 2 rear mounted hammers.

Being made by a watch maker this is a rare piece as it combines a clocks longer duration combined with the skills and thoughts of  a watch maker used to making lever escapements with balance rather than a pendulum which would be quite alien.
