The substantial movement with chain drive, having half dead beat escapement with massive lead filled brass cased pendulum bob and flat steel rod in the manner of Vulliamy. Having double bridge pallet cock and cross bar suspension arm. The flat silvered engraved brass dial signed to a sweeping arc below XII, Dudman 3 Ebury St Pimlico, followed by 60 over 100 below. With floral engraved spandrels and Roman numerals, with plain minute divisions and circles. With the words below reading, Half deadbeat construction, with plain cut flat blued steel fleur-de-lys styled hands. The mahogany veneered case of fine colour and patination having thick bevel edge glass to the sides and top, with flat glass to the front and rear doors. The front door with heavy silvered and chamfered brass sight ring. The mahogany veneered case of good rich colour and patination having flat top with moulded section below and above the glazed front door, with simple inverted moulding below and leading to a plain mahogany band. With stepped base and standing upon 4 simple mahogany block feet. A fine mid Victorian bracket clock of good proportions and colour.
